I source accessories & trims for global buyers — and build the tools that make a factory run on data.
Merchandiser — Sourcing & Supply Chain at Jinnat Fashion Ltd., DBL Group, handling accessories & trims sourcing for George and Vans — sample development, bulk order placement, price negotiation and buyer communication, working with local and foreign suppliers including China. Industrial Engineer by training, builder by instinct: I also automated our own Oracle ERP requisition work into a bot that 40+ merchandisers now run every day.
Textile Engineer by training. Industrial Engineer by practice. Now in Sourcing — and a builder throughout.
Today I'm a Merchandiser in Sourcing & Supply Chain at Jinnat Fashion Ltd., DBL Group, owning end-to-end accessories & trims sourcing for George and Vans: from sample development through bulk order placement, price negotiation, and day-to-day buyer communication. I work with both local and foreign suppliers — including China — to keep costing, quality and timelines aligned from first sample to shipment. Inside the ERP, that means raising purchase requisitions in Oracle EBS R12, costing and booking against the Master BOM, holding budgets, and chasing suppliers so the line never waits on a trim. It is exactly the kind of work I like — high volume, unforgiving detail, and buyer-facing enough that every negotiation and every commitment has to be right the first time.
In the background, I taught myself to close the gaps that process leaves behind. Our team was raising 30–50 requisitions a day by hand, each one a long click-path through Oracle. I wrote the Oracle PR Booking Bot — Python, Playwright and a local dashboard — that does the whole path itself and proves every step before it commits. It is now on 40+ colleagues' machines across DBL Group, with its own licence system and automatic updates. That project is below; it's a tool I built for my own team, not a career change — the merchandising and buyer relationship is still the job.
Before Sourcing I spent almost three years in Industrial Engineering at Snowtex Group. I started on the floor as a hands-on Line IE — sewing line layouts, running the lines, managing large operator teams — grew into IE Executive, and finished as Central IE in the Project Opex & CI team, supporting and training the IE teams of both factories (SOL and SSL) and leading each new MTO batch through their six-month program. I was a core member of Snowtex's factory automation & IoT initiative: operator-level production-counting devices, auto-generated capacity, QR material tracking from cutting to store, and an operator KPI system with an audit panel. I also handled Decathlon — INDUS follow-up, OWE and QCO ownership, and the weekly Monday SUM meeting with root-cause analysis and agreed action plans.
The tools below are built for my own team in the background, with AI as my co-builder (I use Claude) — a way of closing gaps that process leaves behind, not a career change. The sourcing and buyer relationship is still the job I show up for every day. Outside work I run the "Study Material BD" YouTube channel and have self-published a children's book on Amazon KDP.
Each one is backed by a real system running at DBL Group or Snowtex.
End-to-end accessories & trims sourcing for George and Vans — sample development to bulk order placement, price negotiation and buyer communication with local and foreign suppliers (including China), backed by Master BOM booking, purchase requisitions and budget control on Oracle EBS R12.
I automate the long click-paths nobody should be doing by hand. My Oracle requisition bot runs on 40+ machines and turns an afternoon of data entry into one unattended run.
Web tools and Android apps I build myself with AI (Claude) — the capacity sticker generator now used by every IE across the Snowtex factory, plus layout visuals, DPR lookup and Indus reports.
Live KPI dashboards in Looker Studio and Excel — CPM, OWE/OEE, cost, and problem-solving — turning raw data into decisions.
Operator-level IoT for live counting, targets and previous-day PIB with capacity auto-generated — plus end-to-end QR traceability from cutting to store.
Decathlon SUM meetings, OWE & QCO ownership and agreed action plans — and before that, Central IE across two factories and MTO Leader for the six-month trainee program.
Live web tools, Android apps, and automation systems — most are publicly usable.
Our sourcing team was raising 30–50 purchase requisitions a day by hand — the same long click-path through Oracle, every time, with a mistake costing real money. I built a bot that drives Oracle itself: Python + Playwright behind a local FastAPI dashboard, so a merchandiser drops in a file, watches live progress, and gets a report with the PR numbers at the end.
Built to be safe before it was built to be fast: a dry run stages everything and presses Cancel, a negative budget stops the run before any edit, and nothing reports success it cannot prove. Every live failure became a regression test — the suite is now 1,149 checks.
Shipping it to 40 people meant building the parts nobody sees: a machine-bound licence system on Google Apps Script with a kill switch, an installer that checks and repairs its own dependencies, and a self-update channel — I publish a version, and every copy finds it, verifies its checksum, and applies it without anyone reinstalling anything.
Shows each operator's PIB, achieved efficiency, and problems, then produces a visual sewing-line layout report — from performance files, manual inputs, and an uploaded IoT graph.
Adopted across the whole Snowtex factory — every IE uses it. The Line IE uploads the OP Process Skill Tag Report and the capacity stickers (capacity + PIB) are generated instantly, ready to print and hang at every workstation. It replaced writing each one out by hand, on every line, on every style change.
Daily individual efficiency% report for the cutting section — KPI cards, charts, sortable table, Excel export & print. Shown here as a public demo built on dummy data (real factory data kept private).
Loads the Decathlon DPR book so anyone can look up a garment grid point by number or section, jump to the right page, and build a DPR status report. Used locally on phones across departments (buyer data kept private).
Upload the Process Tag (OP Skill Tag Report); it auto-fills Op №, operation detail, and machine per workstation. Add problems, photos and actions, then export a finished per-line workbook.
An IoT device at each workstation shows live production count, today's target, and yesterday's PIB. Capacity and individual operator KPIs are auto-generated, validated by a KPI audit panel.
AI-assisted Python that auto-downloads data from multiple sources and pastes it into Excel — killing hours of daily repetitive manual work and saving manpower.
Independently built Android apps (Android Studio + AI): "Uddogta AI" for entrepreneurship, and a Text-to-Bangla-Voice creator with MP3 export and playback history.
Looker Studio dashboards built from factory data. For public display these are being rebuilt on dummy data with the same pattern, since real company data is confidential.
Cost-Per-Minute and production performance at floor and line level — manpower, SMV, efficiency, earning, cost and variance. Built in Google Looker Studio (live demo on dummy data).
Group-level overview — OWE, OEE, production and DHU across floors and lines, following the proven 2025→2026 layout. Live demo on dummy data.
Tracks reported problems and their resolution across lines — turning issues into a measurable, followed-up action list. Live demo on dummy data.
Engineering, software, and data — with deep garment-industry domain knowledge.
Full accessories & trims sourcing for George and Vans — sample development through bulk order placement, price negotiation and buyer communication, working with local and foreign suppliers including China. Backed by Master BOM booking, purchase requisitions and budget control on Oracle EBS R12. Also built and maintain the Oracle PR Booking Bot, used daily by 40+ colleagues across the group.
Central IE across SOL & SSL: automation & IoT, QR traceability, operator KPI systems, cross-factory IE training, and weekly Decathlon SUM meetings. MTO Leader for the six-month trainee program.
Stepped up to IE Executive: CPM & factory costing, OWE monitoring for Decathlon lines, IE control for CC styles, DPR compliance, and QCO improvement — while still owning line layout and floor performance.
Joined as a Management Trainee (MTO) and became Junior IE Executive. Started as a hands-on Line IE — sewing line layouts, running the lines, managing large operator teams — then took Floor IE responsibility for the whole floor. Plus line balancing, SMV study, manpower planning, operator training, Kaizen & 5S, and bottleneck analysis.
Rotated through all departments — knitting, dyeing/wet processing, finishing and more — learning the end-to-end textile flow from development to shipment.
Open to work and conversations in Sourcing & Supply Chain, ERP and process automation, Industrial Engineering and Opex/CI, and data & dashboard development — in RMG, manufacturing, or tech. Based in Dhaka; open to remote and on-site.
